Tax-Free Payments of $750 to Eligible Recipients
The Government is providing two separate $750 payments to social security, veteran and other income support recipients and eligible concession cardholders. The first payment will be automatically made from 31 March 2020 and the second payment will be made from 13 July 2020.
The eligible Government payments and concession cardholders include:
- ABSTUDY (living allowance)
- Age pension
- Austudy
- Bereavement allowance
- Carer allowance
- Carer payment
- Commonwealth senior’s health cardholders
- Disability pensioners at the temporary special rate
- Disability support pension
- Double orphan pension
- DVA education scheme
- DVA PCC holders
- Family tax benefit
- Farm household allowance
- JobSeeker allowance
- Newstart allowance
- Parenting payment
- Partner allowance
- Sickness allowance
- Special benefit
- Veteran compensation payments
- Veteran gold cardholders
- Veteran income support supplement
- Veteran payment
- Veteran service pension
- War widow(er) pension
